Dogs and Cats Weigh In About Being Stuck with Their Hooman

Pawz World

Dear Diary,

I overheard some of the cats talking about the coronavirus late last night in the alley. It turns out, the feline world isn’t as thrilled about pet owners being home all the time. They’re not like us, I guess.

Sal the tabby said he was tired of his owner sitting in his spot and watching “so much Netflix.”

Carol, the Persian cat, said her owner was shedding everywhere because she hadn’t gotten a haircut in months. “It’s so disgusting – the human hair,” she said. “It’s on my cat bed and it’s in my Meow-Mix. It’s all over everything!”

Billy the Bengal cat said that he just wanted his sunbeam back – I guess his owner has been blocking it with a makeshift, work from home desk.

Hester, the American shorthair, said her owner was loud and obnoxious. He was so loud, in fact, that Hester couldn’t concentrate on catching the red laser dot. And she was mighty upset about that.

They’re all entitled to their own opinions, of course, but I don’t understand how anyone could ever not want their owner around every second of every day.

My owner left earlier. I watched her from the living room window as she got further and further away. I paced and whined and dreamt of the day we’d be reunited. I worried and fretted and stared at the front door until the knob turned.

She finally came back from getting the mail and everything was well again.

She can sit in my spot or hog my sunbeam anytime she wants.

Talk to you later,
Charlie
